Hot or Not?

The story behind Amanda’s blue lookbook

Operation Midnight Blue

Amanda stood in front of the mirror; she had actually just come in to film. A blue pencil dress, blue glittery high heels, and blue stockings to match. “It looks elegant,” she thought. “A bit like Violet from *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory*, only with more glitter and less chocolate.”

No sooner had she strapped on the six-inch heels than it happened.

The ladies of Shoes of Hollywood never disappoint. Thank you, Amanda 💙💙💙

The shoes started to sparkle. Not just a normal sparkle. It was as if they had decided to personally send the studio lights into retirement. A bird outside the window slammed into the glass, thinking it was a second sky. The camera snapped a photo all on its own. The chair Amanda was about to sit on politely scooted two meters to the side.

“Okay,” Amanda murmured. “Stay cool.”

Then came the stockings.

The blue stockings didn’t just sit there; they clung to her as if they had an agenda of their own. Every step became softer, every gleam more intense. Amanda took three steps across the carpet, leaving behind a trail that looked like a very expensive, very blue runner rug. The cleaner came by later and refused to remove it. “It’s art,” she said.

Outside, in the morning light, things got really entertaining.

A taxi driver braked so abruptly that his coffee went flying. “Sorry,” he shouted, “I thought a mermaid in high heels was coming my way!”
Two tourists took her picture and captioned it: “Blue Wonder in Brisbane—please do not feed.”
A dog stopped, tilted its head, and tried to bark at the heels. The heels sparkled right back. The dog sat down and waited politely until Amanda had walked past.

Back in the studio, Amanda sat down on the theater chair. Her heels glittered so brightly that the red polish on her toes suddenly looked like tiny warning lights. “Perfect combination,” she said to the camera. “Red and blue. Like the police. Only prettier.”

At the end of the video, she asked the viewers: “Barefoot or with socks?”

The socks didn’t answer. In the meantime, they had teamed up with the shoes. Together, they were already planning the next outfit. Something in midnight blue. With even more glitter.

Amanda smiled at the camera.
“Next time,” she said, “maybe I’ll just wear sneakers.
Or I’ll let the shoes decide.”

The high heels glittered in agreement.
The socks did too.
The bird outside the window had brought friends along by now.

What do you think of these glitter heels with the blue dress? Should Amanda style them with stockings or bare legs next time?
